Trucks for Sale in Bosnia and Herzegovina: 8x4 Truck Mixers and Concrete Pumps for Bridges and Tunnels

Looking for reliable concrete equipment for a bridge or tunnel project in Bosnia and Herzegovina? You might be pouring a viaduct pier in a river valley, lining a tunnel on a new motorway section, or supplying concrete to a working face at the end of a narrow access road in the mountains. In each case, Schaften Automotive is your European partner for trucks, commercial vehicles and complete fleet solutions. From our headquarters in the Netherlands, we supply 8x4 truck mixers and truck-mounted concrete pumps from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, IVECO and other leading European brands, specified for the structures you are building. We arrange everything from A to Z, including delivery to your site.

More Than a Supplier: Your Sparring Partner from A to Z

More Than a Supplier: Your Sparring Partner from A to Z

Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most demanding places in Europe to pour concrete. The country is mountainous almost everywhere, so the alignment of a modern motorway is a chain of bridges and tunnels rather than a road that follows the ground. That means your batching plant is rarely close to the pour, your mixers spend their cycle on gradients and switchbacks, and the pour itself often happens in a confined space where the clearance you actually have decides which pump can work.

The seasons add to it. Winters in the interior bring snow, frost and freezing nights that affect concrete temperature and the window you can work in. Summers in Herzegovina are hot and dry, which shortens your workability time just as the distance to the pour gets longer. A mixer that loses twenty minutes on every cycle does not just cost you money, it changes the concrete that arrives.

That is why we don’t start from a catalogue. We start by understanding your project: where your batching plant sits, the cycle distance and gradients to each pour, the structures you are building, the clearance at the placing point, the pour rates in your method statement and the season you have to build in. Based on that, we help you put together a set of mixers and pumps that actually work as a system. Once you have decided, we take care of the rest: equipment specification, documentation, customs support and delivery to site. You have one point of contact for everything.

What They Do

  • Rock, fill and spoil haulage from cuttings and tunnel portals to embankments and dumps.
  • Aggregate and base material from quarries and crushing plants to the alignment.
  • Short internal cycles on temporary haul roads, where availability matters more than top speed.
  • Winter and maintenance work, including gritting and snow clearing bodies where you need the chassis to earn its keep year round.
  • Supply to concrete plants and construction fronts along the alignment.

How We Specify the Tipper Body

We have bodies built by specialised European bodybuilders and specify them around your material and your route:

  • wear-resistant steel with floor and side thickness matched to rock, excavated material or aggregate;
  • body volume and profile matched to the density of your material and to the loading equipment you use;
  • centre of gravity and stability, which on a cambered mountain road matters far more than on flat ground;
  • reinforced subframes and hydraulics for a continuous duty cycle rather than occasional tipping;
  • protection of lights, air lines, wiring and fuel systems against rock, water, salt and grit.

We supply 6x6 chassis such as the Mercedes-Benz Arocs and Zetros, the MAN TGS and the IVECO T-Way, specified with heavy-duty suspension, differential locks, the right axle ratio for loaded climbs and a retarder or strong engine brake for the descents.

4x4 Service Vehicles: Reaching Every Front

A road project is strung out along a line, often with fronts that are hours apart by road even when they are close as the crow flies. A 4x4 chassis with reduction gearing, differential locks, good ground clearance and a short wheelbase reaches the places a heavy truck cannot, and keeps working when a track has turned to mud or snow.

Typical Configurations

  • Mobile workshops with crane, workbench, generator, compressor and parts storage, so plant is repaired where it stands.
  • Fuel and lubrication trucks for servicing equipment along the alignment.
  • Water tankers for compaction, dust control and site supply.
  • Crane and utility trucks for pipes, barriers, signs, precast elements and general lifting.
  • Crew transport with crew cabs for moving teams between fronts and camps.
  • Survey, inspection and supervision vehicles that have to reach every point of the alignment in any season.

We supply 4x4 vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz Zetros and Atego 4x4, the MAN TGM 4x4 and the IVECO Daily 4x4 and Eurocargo 4x4, depending on the payload and the access you need.

Specified for Altitude, Winter and Mountain Roads

The difference between a vehicle that keeps your programme on schedule and one that stands still is in the specification. We advise you on:

  • altitude: engine rating and turbocharging for sustained work above 2,000 metres, where power and cooling margins fall away;
  • descents: a retarder or strong engine brake, so your service brakes are not the only thing between a loaded truck and a long descent;
  • gradeability: axle ratio and transmission for the steepest gradient you climb loaded, with the cycle time you need;
  • winter: cold-start equipment such as engine and fuel heaters, a parking heater for the cab, suitable tyres and chain provision;
  • manoeuvrability: wheelbase, overhang and turning circle for switchbacks and narrow working areas;
  • dust and corrosion: multi-stage air filtration for the dry season, and protection against road salt and grit;
  • serviceability: component choices for which parts and support are realistically available in the region.

Beyond Road Building: Other Work in Armenia

Many of our customers work across several sectors. Alongside 6x6 tippers and 4x4 service vehicles, we can arrange:

  • concrete mixers, pumps and cement tankers for bridges, tunnels, retaining structures and buildings;
  • low-loaders and heavy tractor units for moving excavators, drills and plant between fronts;
  • mining support vehicles for operations in Syunik and Lori, including water tankers, fuel trucks and mobile workshops;
  • tankers for fuel distribution and water supply;
  • municipal vehicles such as gritters, snowploughs, sweepers and refuse trucks;
  • distribution and refrigerated trucks for food, agriculture and general logistics.

Because we deliver everything through one point of contact, you can combine several vehicle types in one order and one planning.

Mercedes-Benz, MAN, IVECO & More

Our range covers the leading European commercial vehicle brands:

  • Mercedes-Benz: the Arocs for heavy construction work, the Atego for medium duty and the Zetros for extreme off-road conditions.
  • MAN: the TGS and TGM, with strong drivetrains and all-wheel-drive configurations.
  • IVECO: the T-Way and X-Way for heavy work, and the Daily 4x4 and Eurocargo 4x4 as access vehicles.
  • Scania: a popular choice for heavy haulage work.

Other brands are available on request. Armenia drives on the right, so European left-hand-drive vehicles are a natural fit. Not sure which brand or configuration suits your project best? We compare the options with you objectively, based on your altitudes, gradients, cycle times, budget and service requirements.

How We Arrange Your Fleet from A to Z

Step 1: Consultation and Route Analysis

We discuss your alignment, altitudes and gradients, access to each front, material, cycle distances, construction season and budget. As your sparring partner, we translate these into clear technical requirements for chassis and body, and we point out where a specification will cost you cycle time.

Step 2: Selection and Configuration

We select suitable 6x6 and 4x4 chassis from our stock or through our European network and specify the bodies with our bodybuilders. You receive a clear proposal with specifications, pricing and planning. Before you commit, we check with you which import, certification and registration requirements apply.

Step 3: Bodybuilding and Technical Preparation

The tipper, workshop, tank or crane installation is built by a specialised European bodybuilder, following the chassis manufacturer’s guidelines. We oversee quality and planning and can arrange an inspection or share progress photos before completion.

Step 4: Documentation, Certification and Compliance

We prepare the export declaration and transport documents and supply the vehicle documents and the European Certificate of Conformity, which is the basis for the conformity certification your importer needs under the technical regulations that apply in Armenia. We also check every order against the applicable European export rules. In addition, we coordinate with your customs broker so clearance runs as smoothly as possible.

Step 5: Transport and Delivery to Armenia

Armenia is landlocked, so vehicles normally reach the country through Georgia. We arrange road transport through Europe and Turkey to a Georgian port area and on to the Armenian border, or shipping to Poti or Batumi followed by road transport to your site. We choose the route with you based on the vehicle, your destination and your schedule, and keep you informed until each unit arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions About Trucks for Sale in Armenia

  • We supply all-wheel-drive chassis from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, IVECO and other leading European brands. For 6x6 that includes the Mercedes-Benz Arocs and Zetros, the MAN TGS and the IVECO T-Way. For 4x4 that includes the Mercedes-Benz Zetros and Atego 4x4, the MAN TGM 4x4 and the IVECO Daily 4x4 and Eurocargo 4x4. We combine these with tipper bodies in wear-resistant steel, mobile workshops, fuel and lube systems, water tanks, crane installations and crew cab configurations built by specialised European manufacturers.

  • Altitude reduces air density, which costs engine power and lowers the margin on cooling and braking. We look at engine rating and turbocharging for sustained work at altitude, upgraded cooling, and a retarder or strong engine brake for long loaded descents. For winter we add cold-start equipment such as engine and fuel heaters, a parking heater for the cab, suitable tyres and chain provision. We also look at axle ratio and transmission for the steepest gradient you climb loaded, and at wheelbase and turning circle for switchbacks. We discuss your specific alignment before we specify anything.

  • Armenia has no sea access and its borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan are closed, so deliveries run through Georgia. Depending on the vehicle, the quantity and your schedule, we either arrange road transport across Europe and Turkey into Georgia and on to the Armenian border, or we ship to Poti or Batumi and continue by road. We plan the route with you in advance, because transit times and border crossings differ significantly between the two options. You receive regular updates until each vehicle arrives.

  • Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, which means the common external tariff and the union’s technical regulations for wheeled vehicles apply, alongside local VAT and registration requirements. In practice your importer needs a conformity certificate for the vehicle before it can be registered, and the European Certificate of Conformity is the starting point for that. There may also be recycling or utilisation charges depending on the vehicle. Because the rules and rates are detailed and change over time, we check the current position for your specific vehicles with you and your customs broker before you commit.

  • Absolutely. We regularly supply multiple vehicles for contractors and construction companies. We help you plan the right mix of 6x6 tippers, 4x4 service vehicles, mobile workshops, water and fuel tankers, crane trucks, mixers and low-loaders, so your fleet works as a system rather than as separate purchases. We align delivery with your construction programme and coordinate bodybuilding, documentation and transport for the whole fleet. You have one point of contact throughout, and we remain available for fleet expansions or follow-up orders.
