4x4 Mobility – Because Maintenance Does Not Always Happen on the Road
The machines that need servicing are not always parked next to a workshop.
Excavators, loaders, trucks, generators and construction equipment may be working on unpaved roads, remote project sites or industrial locations where conventional service vehicles struggle to reach them. The Mercedes-Benz Atego 1725A combines 4x4 drive with differential locks on both the front and rear axle.
Its 245 HP Mercedes-Benz six-cylinder diesel engine delivers the power, while the G 85-6 manual transmission and VG550 transfer case provide the drivetrain configuration required for demanding field operations. The mobile workshop starts with the ability to get to the job.

A Lubrication Station on Wheels
Routine lubrication is one of the foundations of preventive maintenance.
This mobile workshop carries four pneumatic oil pumps, each equipped with a hose reel, dispenser gun and digital meter. Different lubricants can therefore be carried and dispensed from dedicated systems without continually changing equipment.
A separate pneumatic grease pump with a 12-metre hose reel supports greasing operations, while a dedicated waste-oil pump and collection system allow used fluids to be removed during servicing. The workshop also incorporates a 900-litre waste-oil tank. Everything required to support regular fleet lubrication from one mobile platform.

1,000 Litres of Mobile Diesel Support
Remote equipment also needs fuel. The integrated 1,000-litre diesel tank is equipped with its own 24V pump, 15-metre hose reel, dispenser gun and digital flow meter.
This allows the mobile workshop to provide fuel support to equipment in the field while carrying out maintenance activities. For fleets operating across large sites or remote projects, combining maintenance and fuel-support capability into the same vehicle can significantly simplify daily service logistics.





600 Litres of Water & High-Pressure Cleaning
Before a component can be inspected or repaired, it often needs to be cleaned.
A 600-litre water tank, electric water pump and high-pressure water cleaner provide the workshop with its own cleaning capability. That means technicians are less dependent on external water infrastructure when working at remote locations. Cleaning, inspection and maintenance can form part of the same field-service operation.

Compressed Air Wherever the Truck Goes
The workshop includes an ABAC 3 HP compressor with an air hose reel and air treatment equipment.
Compressed air is therefore available directly on location for suitable workshop and maintenance tasks. Instead of transporting separate equipment to the project, the required air supply travels with the service team.

Independent Electrical Power
A mobile workshop only becomes truly independent when it can generate its own electricity.
The integrated Hyundai DHY12000XSET generator delivers up to 11.4 kVA at 400V and 9 kW at 230V. The workshop body includes 230V lighting together with 230V and 400V electrical sockets. Whether powering workshop equipment, tools or lighting, technicians have an independent electrical supply available directly from the vehicle.

Welding Repairs Directly in the Field
A damaged bracket, mounting point or metal component does not always justify transporting an entire machine back to base.
The Atego mobile workshop carries an MMA & TIG inverter welding system together with welding cables, holder, protective helmet and gloves. This adds another important repair capability to the vehicle and allows suitable welding work to be performed on location. For remote equipment operations, having that capability immediately available can be invaluable.


Built as a Real Working Environment
The workshop body is not simply a storage box filled with equipment.
Its steel structure, subframe and cross-members form a robust working platform, while the chequered steel floor is designed for practical workshop use. Large aluminium side panels can be opened to provide direct access to the equipment from both sides.
Inside, technicians have access to a worktable, drawer cabinet, lockable cabinet, vice and an extensive collection of hand tools. Portable lighting, extension equipment, a 3-tonne jack, jack stands, lifting equipment and an electric winch further expand what can be carried out in the field.
