The O500-RS combines the 360 HP OM460LA engine with the ZF TraXon transmission and ZF Retarder / Intarder for controlled operation. Self-levelling air suspension, disc brakes, EBS, ESP and ASR support comfort and vehicle control.

The Marcopolo Viaggio 1050 G8 body provides 49 executive seats, air vents, reading lights, thermo-acoustic insulation and an 8 m³ luggage compartment. The 40 kW Valeo air-conditioning system supports operation in warm climates and on longer routes.
